While we try and get free software into the hands of students, we understand the frustration on finding out your school doesn't support these discounts. I'm not paying 200 bucks for Software that I have to buy again because Microsoft doesn't offer free updates. I'm sad enough that I need to use proprietary software for my studies but at least there should be a student discount. That is actually misleading advertisement and I'm pretty sure it's against the law in Europe. If not every student is eligible than don't call it a student price. But instead every official site redirects me here where it says enter your school and if I do that I'm not eligible.

Well it's great that my school doesn't have the expensive deals with Microsoft so that I can get it for free but at least there should be some way to buy the software with a student discount.
